A Zumba dance workout is an intelligent blend of Latin dance styles such as salsa, mambo, merengue, and samba. Unlike in aerobics classes, you don’t have to synchronize your steps or claps during a Zumba dance workout. Zumba dance is a free flowing and intense workout that consists of three consecutive stages: a warmup, a routine and a cool down.

The Zumba dance workout feels more like a dance party rather than an everyday exercise, as it’s created from a bunch of dance styles, it will be more engaging and less physically demanding, but you’ll have to do it for a longer period. So, expect Zumba workout sessions to be as long as an hour or more!

If you’re not a fan of regular exercise techniques, Zumba dance workouts would be perfect for you. They are less intense, but are persistent for longer periods of time, which will yield similar results of a treadmill, in fact, even better. It’s an excellent cardio exercise and is perfect for people of all ages.
