It consists of a series of intense workouts that are meant to make you sweat, and you are usually told to hold your breath multiple times before performing a pose. While the original Ashtanga Yoga has a slow transitioning from a pose to another, Power Yoga is exactly the opposite.
You will change your poses very quickly and this helps you significantly in strength training, as you often lift and hold your body’s weight a lot. Most Power Yoga’s poses are standing poses, as they require your legs, which spikes your heart rate a lot faster than other kinds of poses.
